My Farms

Over the years, I have had the opportunity of founding and managing two regenerative farms, in two different countries and profoundly different cultural and climatic contexts.

This has taught me some of the infinite aspects of farming

OrtoForesta

is a Regenerative Agroforestry Market Garden in Florence, Italy - founded in 2023 and run by my partner Tessa and I.

We grow and sell vegetables and fruit, while demonstrating agro-ecological approaches in a very challenging climatic and soil context.

We integrate the methods of biointensive no-till market gardening and syntropic agriculture.

OrtoForesta also serves as a hands-on educational hub, hosting workshops and training in regenerative market gardening and agroforestry.

Living Soil Garden

Living Soil Garden was a ½-acre, regenerative market garden in Exeter, UK, built to demonstrate that small-scale ecological agriculture can be highly productive.

Driven by a deep commitment to soil health and biodiversity, the project utilized no-dig, human-powered, and completely chemical-free methods.

By managing permanent beds and building fertility through local waste streams and compost, the farm reliably supplied nutrient-dense produce to the local community through a CSA scheme and farmers' markets.

Beyond sustainable food production, the garden served as a vibrant, hands-on educational hub, hosting workshops and farm tours that taught the pragmatic realities of regenerative horticulture.
